FAQ’S…

Usually, ½ Tablespoon to 1 Tablespoon. Don’t worry, we include a measuring scoop with your first purchase.
Keep in mind, this is a natural, traditionally made, soap. The amount you need will vary based on your water hard/soft-ness and the cleanliness of your washer. -
We have and we have customers who have used it for a decade or more on HE machines. Always consult your user manual first to be certain.
Keep in mind, HE machines use less water. This soap is very concentrated. More soap is not better, and you may need less than we recommend. -
Yes. Actually, you can probably use it for more scenarios than regular laundry detergent. Our natural ingredients are gentle enough for sensitive skin yet tough enough to dissolve stains.
We use it to wash our natural fiber clothing (wool and silk, for example), our regular clothing, cloth diapers, baby clothes, sheets and the stinkiest of towels. -
Well, you can. But, we wouldn’t.
First, laundry softener really isn’t needed for soft laundry when you use traditional laundry soap.
Second, laundry softener is one of the more toxic household “cleaners” out there. Save plasticizing your clothes and the extra money spent! -
Pick the blend that sounds most appealing!
We formulate every bottle to have all of the stain-fighting power, even unscented.
However, we add enough essential oils that they not only smell nice, the do have added anti-bacterial, anti-fungal etc., properties as well.
If you have laundry with lots of oil staining, collar sweat staining, etc., a blend with citrus oil in it can help dissolve those tougher oil based stains. -
Wet the fabric with cool water and with a soft brush, rub a small dime-sized drop of laundry soap into the stain in circular motions. Most effective on fresh stains. Let sit for up to 30 minutes before washing.
Depending on the stain, you can also remove dryer-set stains with it - same process as above, and then place in a sunny spot and launder after an hour or two. Do not leave items in the sun for prolonged periods of time, and do not leave unlaundered for any extended period of time after using as a stain treatment. It’s very strong and you don’t want to remove the fabric color once the stain is lifted!Always spot test in an inconspicuous spot before using on garments.

First, let’s talk about what that most likely is - extra, unused soap.
The best thing to try, is use half as much soap next time - if it still occurs, use half as much again. Especially if you have softened water, you will be amazed at how little you have to use to have really clean laundry!
If you are down to using 1 teaspoon, and you are still seeing this - it could be minerals from your water, or that your washer is too stuffed for the amount of water your washer has per load. In that case, try an extra rinse AND lighten up on the amount you stuff into the washer drum!

You’re probably using too much soap. Try ½ a scoop (or ½ a Tablespoon).
More does not always mean better. With standard laundry detergents, we’re used to glugging out 2-4 ounces of liquid into our washers. Or multiple scoops of powder.
With a return to our traditional soap making for laundry soap, just a little does the trick. You’ll notice you’re using too much if your laundry feels sticky or stiff after laundering or it has white residue clinging to creases.
The solution, stick to our measuring scoop, or half of it. Bonus, you’ll stretch your jug even further!

Simple Ingredients
If you don’t see it on our label, it isn’t used in making our soap. We believe in total transparency, especially when we know that hidden ingredients can often be the triggers for skin reactions in sensitive individuals.

Bright and Clean
Keep colors bright. Keep whites white. Keep towels and sweaty or dirty laundry fresh. That’s our goal.
Natural laundry soap, that actually works as good as or better than the conventional stuff. That’s our goal.
